Book Launch – Yonatan Gullible, the Asante Twi translation of the classic book Jonathan Gullible: A Free-Market Odyssey
There is a growing love for socialist ideas among young people in Ghana. This is also because the educational system in Ghana advances socialist ideas and makes heroes out of government interventions. It is also very difficult to get access to materials containing free market ideas in school libraries, particularly in basic and secondary schools. Most free market advocates in Ghana started their journey in the liberty movement at the university level, having unlearnt the old thoughts.
In response, the YAFO Institute, through the Liberty Anansesem project, seeks to cultivate free market education in Ghana with the book Jonathan Gullible: A Free-Market Odyssey (JG) among the young generation. The Liberty Anansesem project has translated the book JG to Asante Twi to present its stories in the local language to better appreciate ideas of liberty and the free market among the younger generation in Ghana.
